Bio

Teaching - I'm excited to say that this is my nineteenth year in education and my third year at Bay Springs.  During my educational career I have taught in 3 counties - Brooks (6 years - 7th and 8th grade Math), Douglas (10 years - 8th grade Math), and Carroll (3 years - 7th grade Life Science and 7th Grade Math). I am thrilled to welcome your child into my classroom and to help them grow and become a more confident math student.

Education - I graduated from Valdosta State University in 2003 with a Bachelor degree in Business Marketing.  I was working in the Marketing Department at Wild Adventures Theme Park when I decided to become a teacher. So, I went back to Valdosta State University and received a Masters degree in Middle Grades Education in 2008.  Once I moved to Douglasville, I attended Piedmont University and graduated with a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2016.

Personal - I live on my family’s farm in Woodland, Alabama with my five year old golden labradoodle Gracie.  I have a niece (9) and a nephew (13) who live near Augusta, Georgia.  When I am not at school I enjoy taking trips and spending time with my family and friends.  In the fall I love watching college football and I proudly yell “ROLL TIDE!”.
