Mrs. Young, Media Specialist

Hello! My name is Tracey Young, and I am thrilled to be joining the team at Bay Springs Middle School as the new Media Specialist.  Before transitioning into education, I spent 15 years with Carrollton Parks and Recreation as a Therapeutic Coordinator and Special Olympics Local Coordinator. During that time, I was honored to receive several professional awards recognizing my service and leadership in recreation and therapeutic programming.

In 2016, I was blessed with the opportunity to begin my second career as a Media Specialist at Chapel Hill High School, where I discovered a true passion for supporting students and fostering a love of learning. That experience helped shape me into the media specialist I am today, and I am incredibly excited to begin this new chapter at Bay Springs Middle School. As a 1996 graduate of Villa Rica High School, it is especially meaningful to serve the community that helped shape who I am.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wonderfully blended family, traveling, and cruising whenever we get the chance!  I have been married to my husband Luke since 2001  and we have 3 children and 3 granddaughters.
